Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists

Women have long been the creative force behind Native art. Presented in close cooperation with top Native women artists and scholars, this first major exhibition of artwork by Native women honors the achievements of over 115 artists from the United States and Canada spanning over 1,000 years.

Fluent Generations: The Art of Anita, Tom & Yatika Fields

A family of accomplished Native artists showcases their works of photography, ceramics and paintings that celebrate the vitality of Indigenous cultures. Anita Fields (Osage), along with husband Tom Fields (Muscogee) and son Yatika Starr Fields (Cherokee, Creek, Osage) come together for the first time ever to illustrate their creativity and passion under one roof, with works that bring their cultural heritage to life inside the Sam Noble Museum.

Art for a New Understanding Native Voices
1850 to Now

The exhibition features over 80 artworks from the 1950s to today, including paintings, photography, video, sculptures, performance art, and more, all created by Indigenous US and Canadian artists. Artworks by an artist who creates social critiques through basket weaving, three sisters who challenge heavy topics with humor and heart, an artist who created a large-scale mural based on her Northwest Arkansas environmental experience, plus many more.
